Empoli secured a precious 1-0 away win against Cagliari in Serie A on Sunday, thanks to a solitary goal from Rey Manaj.

The Albanian striker found the net in the 65th minute, heading in a cross from Tommaso Baldanzi to give Empoli all three points.

The win lifted Empoli to 13th in the Serie A standings with 32 points, while Cagliari remained in the relegation zone, second from bottom with 25 points.

Serie B: Cagliari 0-1 Ismajli

In Serie B, Ismajli also claimed a 1-0 victory against Cagliari on Sunday.

The Kosovo international defender scored the only goal of the game in the 68th minute, heading in a cross from Enrico Baldini.

The win moved Ismajli up to sixth in the Serie B standings with 42 points, while Cagliari remained in 10th place with 37 points.
