Stade Français hopes to bounce back from an alarming defeat
Stade Français will host Brive on Saturday, October 15 at 5 p.m. at the Jean-Bouin stadium in Paris. Defeated last weekend in Bayonne (28-17), the Parisians are aware of the importance of this meeting. A victory at home would allow them to bounce back in the standings before a trip to Perpignan and the reception of Clermont.
A complicated start to the season
Stade Français has not had the start to the season it had hoped for. After four match days, the Parisians have recorded two victories against Pau (37-27) and Biarritz (28-32), and two defeats against Racing 92 (40-27) and last weekend in Bayonne (28-17). Very disappointing results, especially since those against Racing and Bayonne were at home. A victory this Saturday against Brive would allow Gonzalo Quesada's men to erase these poor performances and above all to get back to winning ways at home.
A match to be taken very seriously
Stade Français must approach the match against Brive very seriously. Brive is a team that has started the season well, recording two victories against Toulon (37-3) and La Rochelle (19-10) and two defeats against Toulouse (28-12) and Clermont (33-13). Stade Français will therefore have to raise their level of play to hope to win. A third defeat at home would put the club in a very delicate situation.
