Marta Kostyuk Wins Seoul Open Title

Kostyuk Defeats Watson in Straight Sets

Marta Kostyuk has won her first WTA title in two years, defeating Heather Watson 6-2, 6-2 in the final of the Seoul Open on Sunday.

The 20-year-old Ukrainian broke Watson's serve three times in each set to secure victory in 68 minutes.

Kostyuk, who reached the semifinals of the US Open last month, has now won three WTA titles in her career.

Kostyuk Dominates Watson in Seoul

Kostyuk was in control from the start of the match, breaking Watson's serve in the second game of the first set and never looking back.

The Ukrainian hit 21 winners to Watson's 10 and won 67% of her first serve points.

Watson, who was playing in her first WTA final since 2016, had no answer to Kostyuk's power and precision.

Kostyuk Continues to Rise

Kostyuk's victory in Seoul is another sign of her growing status in the game.

The Ukrainian has now won three WTA titles in the past two years and is ranked No. 53 in the world.

She is expected to continue to rise up the rankings in the coming months.
